Meal Preparation is about general health and wellbeing. Take the trouble out of healthy eating by making everything from cooking to cleaning as easy as possible.
Some people may only require a bit of help doing the shopping and cleaning, while others may need assistance with cooking and eating. In any scenario, we can provide a service designed to take the stress out of meal preparation and allow you to focus on enjoying your food.
Our beautiful house is in a quiet cul-de-sac. It is comfortable, warm, relaxing and is surrounded by a beautiful Garden of Hope. The house has been newly renovated to cater for people with disabilities and the ageing. The bathroom accommodates wheelchairs, shower commodes, and so on. We provide recliners that lift up to standing position and offer Plega Beds in one of the bedrooms. We are able to hire specialised equipment, provide personal care and are also able to hire a wheelchair vehicle, on your behalf.
We can provide the staff for your personal care, organise any disability equipment that you require, as well as arrange your transport to and from the Retreat. We will also take you out into the community, or maybe even a quick trip to Canberra! You have access to our very own chef, The Batty Baker. The Batty Baker offers numerous meals that you can choose from and she can come to you to cook your choice of culinary delights. The Options are endless!!!

Support Coordination is an NDIS funded support that was created to support participants to make the most of their NDIS funds. Once approved, participants work with Support Coordinators to determine how their funds will be spent and to connect with appropriate providers. Support Coordination is meant to:
- Determine what is possible with a client’s NDIS funds
- Build the capacity to exercise choice and control
- Support participants to navigate the NDIS marketplace and find providers that are the best option for them to succeed
This is covered in more detail on our Support Coordination page.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the NDIS?
The NDIS works with people individually and recognises that people have different needs and goals. It gives people choice about the support they need to live the life they want.
If someone has a significant and permanent disability or developmental delay, the NDIS helps them get services and support in their community. It also gives funding for support like early intervention therapies or one-off items like wheelchairs or communication devices.
The NDIS is run by the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA).
What support is available via NDIS Funding?
For a support to be deemed ‘reasonable and necessary’ it must:
- Be related to the participant’s disability
- Be likely to be effective and beneficial to the participant
- Take into account informal supports provided by families, carers and the community
What is not included under NDIS Funding?
Is a Plan Manager the same as a Support Coordinator?
As a participant’s confidence and capacity to implement their plan increases, funding for support coordination may decrease.
A Plan Manager’s role is to manage and monitor plan funding and submit claims to the NDIA on behalf of a participant’s providers.
